AY&YAM Sports and Fun Day 2018
The Anglican Youth and Young Adult Ministries, in the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago present its 4th Annual Sports and Fun Day. Four Regions of the Diocese would engage in friendly competition to promote fellowship and fun. The Sports and Fun Day will take place on Saturday 29th September, 2018 from 9.00am – 4.00pm at the Prisons Grounds.
The theme for this year “Fun in the Son (Jesus Christ) III – Ah here with meh friends” based on Romans 12:10 – Love One another in brotherly/sisterly affection outdo one another in showing honour. This represents the fellowship Christians had in the early church where they played, worshiped and ate together. The day seeks to bring families and friends together as they take part in the day’s activities.
The all-day activities kick off with a dance past followed by track and field and novelty events. Parishioners are encouraged to come out WITH their families as there are activities for all age groups of persons to participate in, such as the fun zone for children. There is no cover charge to enter and there will be light refreshments on sale.
The following are some of the specifics:
- Location: Prisons Grounds, Arouca
- Regional Dance Past Challenge Trophy
- Novelty races, running races, clergy races
- Children’s activities – Bouncy Castle, face painting
- Food and drinks (soft) on sale on the day
- Tug-o-War Challenge Trophy
- Overall Winner’s Trophy
We are looking forward to this venture being exceedingly successful with your support and participation.
