Today we enter the sacred season of Lent with the observance of Ash Wednesday — a solemn reminder that we are called to repentance, renewal, and deeper faith.
As Anglicans in the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago, we receive the ashes as a sign of humility: remembering our human frailty, turning away from sin, and returning to God with sincere hearts.
Lent invites us into prayer, fasting, generosity, and self-examination so that we may walk more closely with Christ and prepare spiritually for the joy of Easter.
May this season be one of quiet reflection, restored hope, and renewed commitment to love God and neighbour.
“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return — yet in Christ we are made new.”
