BATCE Vacancy – Religious Education Teacher

1. THE ORGANIZATION 

Two secondary schools owned and managed by the Anglican Church in Trinidad & Tobago, to provide  high quality, relevant and state of the art teaching and learning facilities and services to students and  other stakeholders.  

2. POSITION OBJECTIVE 

The incumbent is required to teach Religious Education to Forms 1-5 students on a full time basis, in  accordance with the approved curriculum. Duties include monitoring the progress of students, effective  classroom supervision and guidance to ensure the all-round development of students 

3. THE CANDIDATE 

Essential Qualifications and Attributes 

A Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or the related subject area from an accredited University. A Teacher’s registration number 

Ministry of Education assessment to teach Religious Education 

Diploma in Education will be an asset 

 Knowledge and Experience 

Familiarity with the respective subject syllabus inclusive of CSEC and SBA. 

A minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience at the respective form level is essential. Experience in the use of technology in the classroom is essential 

Knowledge of CSEC SBA Process 

Sound knowledge of the theory and application of the subject area. 

Sound knowledge of evaluation and measurement techniques. 

Sound knowledge of modern methods, principles and techniques of teaching
