🏆 DOUBLE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS: A Historic Year for Marabella Boys’ Anglican School! 🏆🇹🇹

Marabella Boys’ Anglican School has officially cemented its status as a powerhouse in primary school chess! In a phenomenal 2026 season, our brilliant young players conquered the board to capture TWO major national chess titles. 🥇♟️

Here’s a look back at an unforgettable year of strategy, discipline, and absolute dominance:
🥇 Triumph #1: 6th Annual C3 National Individual Primary School  Chess Championship
• The Stage: The 6th Annual tournament hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Chess Association (May 2nd–3rd), featuring 159 players from 40 schools.
• The Result: Marabella Boys’ Anglican emerged as the National Primary School Champion!
• The Stats: Our unstoppable team of 10 students (ranging from Standard 2 to Standard 5) secured 1st place with an impressive 26 points, standing tall ahead of St. Monica’s Preparatory (24.5 points) and Trinidad Renaissance School (3rd place).
🥇 Triumph #2: Jumbo Chess Primary School Team Tournament 2026
• The Stage: Held at St. Mary’s College on June 20th, this massive event brought out 332 students representing  83 teams from 43 schools across Trinidad.
• The Result: Back-to-back glory! Marabella Boys’ Anglican captured the championship title once again.
• The Stats: We showed incredible strength in numbers, sending 24 boys (from Second Year to Standard 5) split into 6 teams (Teams A through F). Marabella Team A secured 1st place with 17.5 points, narrowly edging out St. Monica’s Prep A (17 points), TML San Fernando A Team claimed 3rd place with 16 points while our Team C also clinched a fantastic 8th-place finish!
